Inspired by my recent bout of unemployment and the work of my very good friend Shaz, I have finally decided to put two of my favourite things together -- writing and food -- resulting in what I hope will be a belly journal of the yummiest kind.
Not surprisingly, research puts food as one of the most blogged about topics in the world. I myself am an avid reader of the gastronomical chronicles of Delishaz, Urbanspoon, The Breakfast Blog, tummyrumbles and more.
Memories of food (both eating and cooking) go as far back as I can remember, and played a very important role in my happy childhood. Growing up with a mother who was best known for her cooking skills meant it was assumed I would naturally inherit them.
No, not always the case.
Fast forward to my mid 20s, and I am still a novice to the wooden spoon. I am never ashamed to quote Michealangelo's "Ancora Imparo" (I am still learning) in regards to my cooking repertoire, because it means - hopefully - that I can only be better.
Peace, love, adventure,
Trish xo
